A man who spent Monday night on a remote North Kohala shoreline was rescued Tuesday fatigued, but unharmed.
A man who spent Monday night on a remote North Kohala shoreline was rescued Tuesday fatigued, but unharmed.
Fire rescue personnel responded around 7 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a missing person off Maluhia Road and determined the man had apparently scaled a 20- to 30-foot cliff on Monday, but was unable to climb back out, according to the Hawaii Fire Department.
He spent the night on the shoreline and was extricated Tuesday morning by Chopper 1, according to the department. The man was reportedly fatigued, however, the department noted no injuries.
